ＮPO法人さざなみは2020 年から現在まで海辺の保全活動を継続する「習志野の海を守る会」での活動を礎に、海洋保全のみならず里山保全、環境教育、未来を担う子供たちへの生活支援事業などを広く手がけています。

世界的に深刻さを増し続ける気候変動、海洋汚染、森林の消失、争いや貧困などの様々な問題も、まずは私たちの身近な社会に目を向けることから始まります。

遠い世界の途方もなく大きな変化を声高に叫ぶより、一人一人ができる小さな変化の積み重ねこそが、価値のある成果を生み出します。

全ての人に価値があり、どんな小さな行いにも意味があります。広大な海洋汚染を抑制することは目の前の一つのゴミを拾うことから始まり、気候変動への取り組みの第一歩も私たち一人一人が健康で生きる事を心がけることから始まります。

私たちは故郷の海や山野の環境保全を基調とし、地域における様々な課題の解決に向けて活動しています。

Many of the issues that continue to grow more serious worldwide—such as climate change, marine pollution, deforestation, conflict, and poverty—begin with turning our attention to the communities closest to us. Rather than loudly calling for immense changes in distant parts of the world, it is the accumulation of small actions taken by each individual that creates meaningful results. Every person has value, and even the smallest action has significance. Reducing widespread marine pollution begins with picking up a single piece of litter in front of us, and the first step toward addressing climate change begins with each of us striving to live healthy and mindful lives. Grounded in the conservation of our hometown seas, mountains, and natural landscapes, we work to address a wide range of challenges within local communities.
